John Butler wird in dieser Zeit stattdessen ganz besondere Solo-Shows für seine Fans spielen und freut sich auf eine großartige Stimmung in Wien!

Following John Butler Trio’s show 2 nights ago in Cologne the artist’s drummer, Grant Gerathy,  was taken severely ill and required hospital treatment. The diagnosis was Grant requires a few days complete rest so will be unable to perform the upcoming shows in Berlin, Munich and Vienna. Rather than cancelling these shows and disappointing fans John Butler decided he would rather connect with his German and Austrian fans and play these shows as a very special solo show. Hamburg last night was such a show. We wanted to make all tickets holders aware of the situation and look forward to seeing them over the coming days. If any ticket holder would prefer a refund then they should keep hold of their ticket, not attend the show and a refund will be available from the point of purchase next week

Das JOHN BUTLER TRIO freut sich, ihre lang ersehnte Rückkehr nach Europa mit einer ausführlichen Live-Tour und einem im Herbst erscheinenden Studioalbum ankündigen zu können.

Ihre Fans erwartet außerdem 2018 ein brandneues Live-Format, denn das Trio wird auf fünf Mitglieder erweitert, deshalb auch JOHN BUTLER TRIO+!

Nach einer erfolgreichen Tournee durch Australien in dieser neuen Besetzung, wird auch das europäische Publikum von dieser größeren und dynamischeren Live-Show mit zusätzlichen Percussions und Keys hingerissen sein. Die neuen Songs sind großartig aber natürlich wird es auch Klassiker wie „Betterman“, „Zebra“ und „What You Want“ neu interpretiert werden.

Das neue Studioalbum, das erste seit „Flesh & Blood“ das 2014 ARIA-preisgekrönt wurde, ist eine sehr persönliche Kreation aus Gedanken und Reflektionen über die Familie und das Zuhause, aber ebenso über das Reisen und zu globalen Themen.
